The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert Sunday to help speed the recovery of a 75-year-old woman who went missing in Long Beach.
Wanda F. Thomas Jenkins was last seen about 3 a.m. Sunday when she left her home in the 1700 block of Long Beach Boulevard on foot, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Her destination was unknown.
Jenkins is considered at risk due to her age and a mental condition that could lead her to become disoriented, police said.
She is Black, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a gold poncho-like sweater, black pants and black-and-white Polo shoes, carrying a large yellow purse.
Anyone with information about where Jenkins might be should call 911.
The CHP activates Silver Alerts to aid in the swift recovery of missing elderly, developmentally or cognitively impaired people who are determined to be at risk.
