A man suffered a gunshot wound in Long Beach but was uncooperative with police trying to investigate the shooting, authorities said Saturday.
Officers dispatched at about 1:50 a.m. Friday to the area of Artesia Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue regarding a shooting located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Paramedics took him to a hospital for wounds that were described as non-life-threatening.
“Officers located a crime scene. The victim was uncooperative,” according to a police statement. “The circumstances of the shooting, motive, and suspect information are under investigation.”
