Garden Grove police Monday issued a Silver Alert asking the public for help locating an 81-year-old man who walked away from a convalescent home for the second time in a week.
Nguyen Van Nguyen was last seen at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday leaving the convalescent home in the 13500 block of Dawson Street where he lives, according to Garden Grove police Sgt. Thi Huynh. He was reported missing at 6:45 p.m.
He previously went missing Thursday and was located Friday, Huynh said.
Nguyen is Asian, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 120 pounds, bald, with no facial hair, and brown eyes, wearing a light blue sweatshirt and gray sweatpants and using a walker.
“Nguyen is considered at-risk and is in need of medication,” Huynh said.
Anyone who knows where Nguyen is should call the Garden Grove Police Department at 714-741-5704.
A Silver Alert is activated when an elderly, developmentally or cognitively impaired person is missing and determined to be at risk.
