A 28-year-old Blythe resident was free from custody Monday following his arrest for allegedly attacking and threatening his former partner.
A woman reported the alleged attack Thursday in the 200 block of North Palm Drive, telling police that Marquis Johnson — her ex-boyfriend — had attacked her, according to a Blythe Police Department statement.
Police said she suffered a leg laceration from the alleged attack. Johnson also alleged threatened to shoot the victim, according to police.
Johnson was booked into the Blythe Jail on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a current/former spouse and making criminal threats. Inmate records indicated he was released the following day.
