Officers recovered a handgun while investigating a report of a negligent discharge of a firearm in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
Officers dispatched at about 6:55 p.m. Friday to the 4500 block of Orange Avenue located evidence of a shooting as well as a firearm, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Suspect information and the motive for the shooting were under investigation.
