Two people were killed Monday morning in a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles.
The crash was reported at 5:11 a.m. Monday in the 6600 block of South Vermont Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The male suspect ran away from the scene, police said.
The crash and investigation closed a stretch of Vermont around 66th Street.
