A 62-year-old man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in South Los Angeles, authorities said Saturday.
The victim was identified as Danny Estis, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A light, possibly white-colored SUV going northbound on Western Avenue struck Estis, who was crossing outside a marked crosswalk at 83rd Street, at about 9:15 p.m. Friday.
The SUV was last seen going northbound on Western.
Paramedics pronounced Estis dead at the scene.
