A 42-year-old motorcyclist who was killed after crashing into a wall at a freeway exchange in downtown Los Angeles was identified Tuesday.
The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner identified Eric Mitchell as the victim of the crash, which was reported at approximately 1:30 a.m. on July 9.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the transition road from the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway to the northbound Pasadena (110) Freeway, where they found Mitchell, CHP Officer Erik Larsen told City News Service.
Officers found Mitchell’s motorcycle blocking the middle lanes of the 110 Freeway.

This man was my brother. He had family and friends who lived him dearly. He was a great friend and a good listener. He always looked out for his friends and was known for giving to others even when he didn’t have enough . I loved him dearly and he will be forever missed but never forgotten. We love you “E”! ❤️❤️
