At least one woman was shot and wounded Tuesday at a Granada Hills day care facility, and a man suspected of shooting her was taken into custody.
The shooting was reported about 12:30 p.m. in the 17300 block of West Firma Court, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported taking two people to a hospital, but information about their ages, genders and conditions were not available. It was unclear if both had suffered gunshot wounds.
Police said there was one shooting victim, described only as a woman.
Reports from the scene showed a building with a number of children’s toys out front.
The man suspected of being the shooter was taken into custody in the area of Balboa Boulvard and Sherman Way, police said. His name was not immediately released.
It was not immediately clear if the suspect and victims were known to one another.
