A 32-year-old woman was rescued by firefighters Thursday after falling into the Tujunga Wash in Valley Glen.
Crews responded just before 11 a.m. to the 13500 block of West Sherman Way, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The wash, a tributary of the Los Angeles River, was dry at the time of the fall, according to LAFD spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.
Firefighters conducted a technical rescue using an aerial ladder, lowering a basket with ropes and pulleys to retrieve the woman from the wash, Lantz said.
The woman was transported to a hospital in fair to serious condition for treatment of unspecified injuries, according to Lantz.
