Fire Saturday damaged a single-story commercial building in the Central-Alameda community of Los Angeles, authorities said.

Firefighters dispatched at 6:56 a.m. to 1359 E. Washington Blvd. had the fire out within 28 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

“Crews will remain on scene for approximately two hours for the overhaul operations,” said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Drivers were advised to avoid East Washington Boulevard, between South Central Avenue and Hooper Avenue.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
