A man whose body washed ashore in Long Beach was identified by county authorities Friday, while police said there were no initial signs of foul play.
The man, identified by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office as 40-year-old Lee Neilson, was found on Alamitos Beach on Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. His city of residence was not provided.
Officers responded to the 1900 block of East Ocean Boulevard, located the body and indicated there were no signs of foul play, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Police said an investigation was ongoing.
The medical examiner deferred listing Neilson’s cause of death.
