Firefighters were battling a brush fire Sunday burning uphill near the Hollywood (101) Freeway in the Hollywood Hills area.
The fire was reported at 2:03 p.m. Sunday at 6659 W. Lakeridge Road, just east of Cahuenga Boulevard and west of the Hollywood Reservoir, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Jamie Stewart.
The fire was burning in light fuels and had covered 10,000 square feet when reported and did not immediately threaten structures, Stewart said.
The LAFD was requesting air support from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
