A man was killed in a hit-and-run collision in North Hollywood and police Wednesday are looking for the driver, who fled the scene and is on the run.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division were called at 1:53 a.m. Wednesday to the intersection of Magnolia Boulevard and the Hollywood (170) Freeway near North Hollywood Recreation Center Park, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.
Police said the driver was traveling west on Magnolia when they struck the victim, who was walking toward a vehicle.
The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead.
The driver drove away from the scene without attempting to help the victim, police said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
