A 20-year-old woman charged with attempted murder for allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a knife in Anaheim was behind bars Wednesday.
Ashley Stacey Parrareyna was accused of attacking her boyfriend about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at 3342 W. Del Monte Drive, about a half-mile southeast of the intersection of Lincoln and Knott avenues, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Parrareyna was charged Tuesday with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and corporal injury on a cohabitant, all felonies. She also faces sentencing enhancements for causing great bodily injury with domestic violence and personal use of a deadly weapon.
Parrareyna did not enter a plea at her arraignment Tuesday in the Central Jail courtroom in Santa Ana. Her arraignment was rescheduled for May 29 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton.
