A person was rushed to a hospital Saturday after a crash involving a big rig and another vehicle on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Boyle Heights, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday on the southbound freeway, just north of South Indiana Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The victim’s condition was not immediately clear.
A Sigalert was issued at 6:38 a.m. shutting down the Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5 lanes of the southbound freeway for approximately seven hours. The alert was revised at 8:42 a.m., allowing for the opening of the No. 2 and 3 lanes.
