Homicide detectives with the Long Beach Police Department Wednesday continued their investigation of a fatal stabbing in Central Long Beach.
Officers from the LBPD were called Monday at approximately 8:28 p.m. to the 1800 block of Harbor Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway regarding a stabbing. When they arrived, officers found a man who sustained a life-threatening stab wound, the police department said.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.
Suspect information, circumstances surrounding the assault and a motive for the stabbing remain under investigation.
