The eldest son of NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade was free on bond Friday following his arrest in Burbank on suspicion of domestic violence.

Zaire Blessing Wade, 24, was taken into custody by the Burbank Police Department at about 6 a.m. Sunday and later released on a $50,000 bond, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department jail records.

NBC4, citing information from investigators, reported that police were dispatched to a home in Burbank at around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, in response to a woman screaming that prompted a 911 call.

The responding officers located the woman, who had several lacerations on her face and body, the station reported.

Officers later took Zaire into custody on suspicion of felony domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment, NBC4 reported. Burbank police did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Paramedics were called to the scene to check on the woman, but she was not taken to a hospital.

Reports from the scene indicated that officers located a handgun in the home following Zaire’s arrest.

The case was expected to be reviewed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of possible charges. According to various reports, an emergency protective order was issued.
