A Silver Alert was activated Sunday for a 75-year-old woman last seen in Sylmar, authorities said.
Debby Joseph was last seen about 10 p.m. Saturday in the area of Kagel Canyon and Terra Vista Way, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Joseph was described as a 5-foot, 3-inch tall Black woman weighing 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants and black shoes.
Authorities said they believe she was on foot.
Anyone with information about Joseph’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired people.
