A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck in Pacoima Tuesday evening.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called to the 12600 block of Branford Street, about three-quarters of a mile east of the San Diego (405) Freeway, at 9:16 p.m. where a white pickup truck stuck the pedestrian, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel at the scene.
Video from the scene showed the officers with the pedestrian under a canopy.
Authorities have closed the street for an investigation.
