Police sought more information Wednesday about a hit-and-run accident in Long Beach last month that left two people injured.
The preliminary investigation indicates that on June 21, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a 2026 Honda Prologue was traveling westbound on Seventh Street at Magnolia Avenue when it was sideswiped by a metallic blue Dodge Charger traveling in the same direction, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The collision caused the Honda to collide with several unoccupied parked vehicles and overturn, while the Dodge Charger fled the scene.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the occupants of the Honda, a male adult driver and female adult passenger, to a hospital with moderate injuries, the LBPD said.
The suspect vehicle was described as a newer model, metallic blue Dodge Charger with black, 5-spoke wheels.
The suspect was described as a man in his early 20s, approximately 5-feet-10 inches tall and 175 pounds. He had blue braces on his teeth and was wearing a multicolored shirt, tan shorts, grey socks and grey sandals, police said. He had diamond stud earrings and wore glasses with diamond accents at the hinge and on the bridge.
