A 40-year-old Los Angeles man was behind bars Thursday on charges of sexually assaulting a girl, starting when she was 4 years old in Fullerton.
Claudio Marino Hernandezlopez is charged with sexually assaulting the victim until she was 12 years old, police said.
Fullerton police began investigating the defendant in January after receiving a report of sexual abuse from another law enforcement agency in Los Angeles County, police said.
According to the criminal complaint, the allegations date back to 2014.
Hernandezlopez is charged with two counts of sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 or younger, four counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 or younger and a count of forcible lewd acts on a child, all felonies.
