A vehicle fire next to a three-story retail building in downtown Los Angeles threatened to spread to the structure but was put out in time by firefighters, authorities said Monday.
The fire was reported at 9:05 p.m. Sunday at 417 E. Pico Blvd., at Maple Avenue, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jamie Stewart.
It took 40 firefighters a little over 15 minutes to put out the flames, Stewart said.
No injuries were reported, he said.
