One of two women wounded in a shooting in Canoga Park was in critical condition Monday.
Officers responded to a shooting call about 7:50 a.m. Sunday in the 8300 block of Northgate Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victims, ages 22 and 26, were inside a vehicle in an alley when a 26-year-old man approached, pulled out a handgun and opened fire, striking both women, police said.
The suspect fled on foot before officers arrived.
The women were taken to a hospital, where the 22-year-old was listed in critical condition and the 26-year-old was reportedly stable.
It was not immediately clear whether the suspect was known to the victims.
