Crews made fast work of a lithium-ion battery fire that broke out in a Hollywood apartment building Friday.
The fire was reported about 9:25 a.m. at a three-story structure at 1611 Schrader Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters found the source in one unit of the building and put out the blaze in 12 minutes.
Two people were evaluated at the scene, but did not suffer life-threatening injuries, according to the LAFD.
Hazmat specialists were summoned to handle the battery.
The Los Angeles Police and Transportation departments handled traffic control during the emergency.
