Former La Jolla Country Day School standout Kelsey Plum will be part of the U.S. team competing at the 2020 FIBA 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament March 18-22 in Bengaluru, India, USA Basketball announced Monday.

The U.S. will be among 20 teams competing at the qualifying tournament for three spots in the Tokyo Olympics, where 3×3 basketball will be played for the first time. Russia, China, Mongolia and Romania have already qualified for the Olympics by virtue of their top FIBA 3×3 world rankings.

“I’m super grateful for this opportunity to represent USA Basketball in this next 3×3 tournament,” said Plum, a guard with the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces. “It’s always a privilege and I wear the jersey with pride.”

Fellow WNBA players Napheesa Collier, Stefanie Dolson and Allisha Gray were the other players selected for the team that will play in the qualifying tournament by a USA Basketball 3×3 Selection Committee among 11 players who participated in a training camp in Chicago Wednesday through Saturday.
