A free weekly food and music event, which features a local artist and restaurant or food truck providing dinner, will begin Tuesday in Cathedral City.
Tastes and Sounds of Cathedral City will get underway at 5 p.m. Tuesday with music from the Cathedral City High School Bands at the Cathedral City Amphitheater, 68526 Avenida Lalo Guerrero.
“It continues to be our goal as a Communications & Events team to celebrate the city’s vibrancy and diversity through our local events,” Communications and Events Manager Ryan Hunt said in a statement. “The Cathedral City Community Amphitheater is a beautiful location, and we’re excited to showcase it weekly and provide more free and affordable entertainment to our residents and Coachella Valley visitors.”
Attendees can expect to indulge in culinary experiences and listen to live music in an outdoor setting, according to Hunt. The event will be free and open for anyone hoping to connect with others through food and music.
Hunt also encouraged people to take their own blanket and lawn chairs as there is a limited amount of picnic tables available.
The series will continue each Tuesday at the same time until April 9. Other music acts set to perform throughout the series are the Cathedral City High School Choir, Radio Ready, The Dreamboats, Leanna and Miguel, and Giselle Woo and The Night Owls.
