Los Angeles Mayor-Elect Karen Bass expanded her lead over developer Rick Caruso to nearly 89,000 votes in the latest updated vote count from the Nov. 8 election.

Bass was declared the winner on Wednesday when her lead grew to more than 46,500 votes. Caruso led the race slightly after Election Day, but Bass took the lead in the following Friday’s updated vote count and has expanded it in each count since then. She currently has 54.82% of the vote to Caruso’s 45.18%.

In other updated results released Saturday by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, LA County Sheriff-Elect Robert Luna increased his lead over current Sheriff Alex Villanueva to 501,132 votes, or 61.26% to 38.74%.

In the race to fill an open seat on the county Board of Supervisors held by the retiring Sheila Kuehl, West Hollywood City Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath widened her lead over state Sen. Bob Hertzberg to 28,653 votes, or 52.96% to 47.04%.

Hertzberg has conceded the race. The Third District seat covers a majority of the San Fernando Valley, stretching from Westlake Village and Malibu to Calabasas, West Hills, Porter Ranch, San Fernando, Panorama City and Northridge. It also includes West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.

In the race for the Los Angeles City Council’s 11th District seat, Traci Park saw her lead over Erin Darling shrink from over 5,000 votes to a little over 4,000, but the race is still decided, with Park declaring victory Thursday and Darling conceding. Park has 52.06% of the vote to Darling’s 47.94%.

Three other LA City Council races have also been decided:

— In the 5th District, Katy Young Yaroslavsky expanded her lead over Sam Yebri to 16,363 votes, or 59.69% to 40.31%.

— In the 13th District, Hugo Soto-Martinez leads Mitch O’Farrell by 10,137 votes, or 57.74% to 42.26%.

— In the 15th District, Tim McOsker leads Danielle Sandoval by 11,564 votes, or 64.28% to 35.72%.

The estimated number of outstanding ballots to be processed is 25,250, including 22,200 vote-by-mail ballots, 3,000 conditional ballots and 50 provisional ballots.
