Forecasters are predicting warming temperatures in Riverside County next week.
Saturday’s high was expected to reach 81 in the Riverside metropolitan area, 75 in the Temecula Valley and 82 in the Coachella Valley, while evening lows were expected to drop to the 50s throughout the county.
Sunday’s temps were expected to increase slightly, reaching 82 in the downtown Riverside area and the Temecula Valley and 86 in the Coachella Valley, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures were expected to continue increasing slightly through the early part of the week. The downtown Riverside area was expected to reach 89 Wednesday, while the Temecula Valley was predicted to reach 87 and the Coachella Valley 97.
Forecasters said temperatures will begin dropping again Thursday, reaching 81 in the Riverside metropolitan area by Friday, 80 in the Temecula Valley and 94 in the Coachella Valley.
Palm Springs was in for highs in the mid-to-upper 80s this weekend, but will rise to 96 on Tuesday and 99 on Wednesday, forecasters said.
Very dry conditions were expected into at least the middle of the week, according to the NWS.
