It’s been known since April that Eddie Murphy will get the nation’s top honor for humor. Now we hear who will be saluting the former SNL and movie star.

Trevor Noah, upcoming host of “The Daily Show,” will join Chris Rock, Kathy Griffin, Arsenio Hall and “Saturday Night Live” alumni Jay Pharoah, Kevin Nealon and Joe Piscopo next month at the Kennedy Center in Washington.

The show is taped Oct. 18 and will be broadcast Nov. 23 on PBS.

Murphy said, “I am deeply honored to receive this recognition from the Kennedy Center and to join the distinguished list of past recipients of this award.”
