Eddie Murphy not dead yet (as hoax has it): he’ll be dad for 9th time

Eddie Murphy and his Australian girlfriend Paige Butcher have announced they are having a child — Murphy’s ninth and Butcher’s first.

Murphy and his ex-wife, Nicole Mitchell, have five kids together, ranging in age from 13 to 25. The actor and former “Saturday Night Live” star also has a 26-year-old son and a 25-year-old son with two other girlfriends and an 8-year-old daughter with Mel B. of “America’s Got Talent” and Spice Girls fame.

According to NBC New York: “As Murphy and Butcher prepare for the arrival of their first child together, the actor is also gearing up for a role in director Lee Daniels’ Richard Pryor biopic.

“As Deadline reported in August, Murphy was tapped to play Pryor’s father, Leroy ‘Buck Carter’ Pryor. Mike Epps will play the iconic comedian, while Oprah Winfrey will star as Pryor’s grandmother, who ran a brothel and raised Pryor there. Kate Hudson was cast as Pryor’s widow, Jennifer Lee Pryor.”

Meanwhile, another Murphy death hoax is circulating — the same one as in previous years.
