FX’s miniseries “The People v. O.J. Simpson” scored a leading six nominations Monday for the 22nd annual Critics’ Choice Awards, while HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” AMC’s “The Night Manager” and Netflix’s “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” collected five each.

Netflix’s “House of Cards,” History’s “Roots” and HBO’s “All the Way” and “Veep” all earned four nominations in the television categories. Motion picture Critics’ Choice nominations will be announced Dec. 1.

Overall, HBO led the pack 22 television nominations, while ABC and Netflix both earned 14 and FX scored 12.

Hosted by comedian TJ Miller, the 22nd annual Critics’ Choice Award ceremony will air live on A&E on Dec. 11.

The nominees were chosen by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association and announced initially through an exclusive agreement with Entertainment Weekly and People — a deal that has caused some dissension in the organization and led some journalists to resign their memberships.

Nominated for best drama series were “Better Call Saul,” “Game of Thrones,” “Mr. Robot,” “Stranger Things,” “The Crown,” “This is Us” and “Westworld.” Competing for best comedy will be “Atlanta,” “Black- ish,” “Fleabag,” “Modern Family,” “Silicon Valley,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and “Veep.”
