Donald Trump doesn’t get “To infinity and beyond”? That’s what some are surmising after reacting to Buzz Aldrin’s aside during a signing ceremony.
Sitting down to sign an executive order reviving the National Space Council, Trump said: “Know what this is? Space! That’s all it has to say is ‘space.’ There’s a lot of room out there, right?”
He looked at Aldrin, the second man on the moon.
“To infinity and beyond!” Aldrin replied, quoting the “Toy Story” character Buzz Lightyear. The group laughed.
The commander-in-chief continued: “This was infinity. Could be infinity, we really don’t know yet. But it could be. There’s gotta be something, but it could be infinity, right?”
A New Jersey site also noted: “The … interesting … phrasing and Aldrin’s response to Trump’s speech was not lost on the tweeting public. Neither was the fact that in addition to Aldrin and male astronauts Alvin Drew and David Wolf, all mentioned by Pence, astronaut Sandy Magnus, a woman who is now executive director of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was also present but not recognized in his remarks.”
Video of Aldrin’s reactions during the event went beyond infinity.
Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon and has ZERO respect for this illiterate conman.

Well, not everyone is a rocket scientist. But, then again, most kids understood Buzz Aldrin’s “lightyear” joke. #Idiot45 #space #nasa https://t.co/9yUGwqQy2C

Buzz Aldrin: To infinity and beyond!
Trump: This is infinity here. It could be infinity. We really don’t know. But it could be.

It’s a shame Trump didn’t deny the moon landings occurred, because watching Buzz Aldrin punch him out on live TV would have been cathartic.
