Arianna Huffington, who turned 67 over the weekend, is long gone from her liberal-leaning site. But the rebranded HuffPost still takes its shots.

In a piece about the battle between Trevor Noah and Stephen Colbert for the title of Most Ruthless Mocker of President Trump, HuffPost’s Todd Van Luling concludes: “If one of these programs lands a good enough Trump joke, that means he’s no longer president, right?”

The Left will chuckle, but Trump supporters may turn up their nose.

So it’s interesting that HuffPost has embarked on what it calls its “Listen to America” bus tour of mainly middle America, aka Trump Country.

“Trust in the news media is at an all-time low,” says Lydia Polgreen, HuffPost editor-in-chief. “We want to address that head-on, and build trust in the work we do, by visiting communities that are largely ignored by national media. We’ll listen to what’s most important to them, and help tell those stories to the vast HuffPost audience.”

Poltroon adds: “Political divisions between us seem starker than ever. But at HuffPost, we believe there’s still so much that unites us as citizens. We aim to discover and highlight all that, and show what Americans have in common” in the visits to 23 states.

But back to the “The Late Show” vs. “The Daily Show.”

“Earlier this month, Colbert … unveiled a concept called “The Trump Attacked Me on Twitter” Hall of Fame. … Not to be outdone, ‘The Daily Show’ has expanded its Twitter library concept by debuting a new video series called Verified Survivor,” Van Luling writes.

“Extremely similar in concept to Colbert’s Hall of Fame, ‘Verified Survivor’ showcases famous figures talking about what it was like to be attacked by the president on Twitter. Videos starring the likes of Stephen King and Mark Cuban are already available on the show’s YouTube channel.
