As we await the prospect of an all-female “Dirty Dozen,” the trailer for “Ocean’s 8” takes the heist movie series to a different height.

Sandra Bullock stars with seven other ladies as the “estranged sister” of George Clooney’s Danny Ocean in the film set for release June 8, 2018.

“The trailer positions … Bullock’s character at the helm of a new heist crew anchored by Cate Blanchett,” says The Verge. “Mindy Kaling plays a jewelry expert, Rihanna a mysterious hacker type, Helena Bonham Carter works in fashion, Sarah Paulson’s a reluctant mom, and Awkwafina plays a street-smart hustler.”

In the new movie, Anne Hathaway is the wearer of a $150 million necklace. The goal of just-sprung-from-prison Bullock is taking it.

CNN says that “Ocean’s 8,” like the recent “Ghostbusters” reboot with only women, has already suffered some backlash.

“Bullock said she knows the film will probably have haters, but she urges people to see it before they form an opinion,” CNN said, quoting the star: “There should be a rule — you’re not allowed to say anything nasty until after it comes out.

“Obviously, that’s never going to happen.”

But with “These Boots are Made for Walking” sung in the background, the trailer suggests the film will have plenty of fans.
