First we had GOAT — Greatest of All Time. Now we have GBSOAT — Greatest Billboard Series of All Time.
That’s what some people consider the public love notes posted by Serena Williams‘ husband along Interstate 10 outside Palm Springs.
Husband Alexis Ohanian, the Reddit co-founder, wanted to salute Serena as she returns to tennis — the BNP Paribas Open beginning March 5 at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
The billboards show images of daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. with the caption “Greatest momma of all time.”
“These just went up on alongside I-10 into Palm Springs,” Ohanian wrote on Twitter and Instagram. “@OlympiaOhanian & I wanted to welcome her back to tennis. Designed them myself, with some help from Jr. #GMOAT”
Serena replied on Instagram: “Literally am crying. This is so sweet. I love you.”
Sports Illustrated noted: “Williams recently revealed that she nearly died after giving birth to her daughter Olympia because of complications she had following her Sept. 1 C-section.”
