A couple of Californians were happy lottery winners Thursday morning, but they failed to win the big one. And that means the Powerball jackpot will be worth significantly more than $60 million Saturday.

Two tickets missing the Powerball number were sold with five numbers in Wednesday’s drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery. They were sold in Lynwood and Fairfield. They were each worth $188,607.

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers, the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game, announced. The estimated jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is expected to grow from its current value of $60 million.

The numbers drawn were 8, 13, 29, 38, 52 and the Powerball number was 28.

The Powerball game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
