Men’s Health Week concludes Sunday on Father’s Day, with President Donald Trump encouraging “all men to evaluate both their mental and physical health and to focus on living a healthy lifestyle.”

“While there are many factors that contribute to a healthy life — including diet, exercise, stress management, and mental and emotional wellness — one of the most important practices is to regularly visit the doctor and the dentist,” Trump said in his Men’s Health Week message.

“Men are less likely than women to visit their health care providers, often missing out on critical treatments that can protect their overall health and well-being. Individuals who have routine check-ups better understand the association between a healthy lifestyle and a greater quality of life.”

Trump also reminded the public to encourage anyone with a mental disorder or addiction to call the National Helpline, which can make confidential referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups and community-based organizations.

The free service offered by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Its number is (800) 662-HELP (4357).
