Firefighters needed 45 minutes Saturday morning to extinguish a blaze in a 3,550-square foot, apparently vacant home in Bel Air.
Crews responded at 2:45 a.m. to the home on the 900 block of North Stone Canyon Road and determined the fire was primarily at one end of the building and into the attic, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A total of 80 firefighters coordinated a roof ventilation operation and interior attack to prevent the fire from spreading throughout the home through the attic, Stewart said.
Knock down was declared at 3:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
