A body was found Wednesday on the northbound Ventura (101) Freeway in the Woodland Hills area, prompting closure of the roadway while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the death.
The body was discovered about 5:30 a.m. near Mulholland Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the person.
The closure was continuing about an hour afterward and traffic was snarled for miles during the morning commute.
