A man was in custody Tuesday morning after he led California Highway Patrol officers on a nearly two-hour pursuit from South Pasadena to Sylmar.

Officers tried to pull the driver over on Fair Oaks Avenue near Arroyo Seco (110) Parkway about 12:55 a.m. for driving without his headlights on, according to CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.

The driver fled and led officers on a chase hitting speeds of up to 75 mph before he surrendered at 2:40 a.m. on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, just off the Golden State (5) Freeway, Kimball said.

The name of the driver and details of the type of vehicle he was driving were not released.

No injuries were reported.
