A fire in a Van Nuys home’s garage was extinguished in 18 minutes Monday evening and no injuries were reported.
The fire was reported about 8 p.m. in the 13900 block of Cantlay Street, between Woodman and Hazeltine avenues, one block north of Sherman Way, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Thirty-one firefighters were dispatched to the 1,419 square-foot, one-story home, which had a heavy fire in its attached garage, Humphrey said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
