Fire Saturday damaged a vacant unit in a row of bungalows in Echo Park.
The fire appeared to be have originated in the basement of the vacant unit and burned up to the ground level, said Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters dispatched at 8:01 a.m. to 923 N. Beaudry Ave. had the fire out within 13 minutes of their arrival, Prange said.
“Firefighters acted quickly to prevent adjacent dwellings from becoming involved,” he said.
There were no reports of injuries and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
