A blaze inside a West Hills home was extinguished in about 20 minutes Monday evening, and no injuries were reported.

The fire broke out about 8:40 p.m. in the 24600 block of Gardenstone Lane, near the West Hills Recreation Center, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The bulk of the blaze was confined to one room on the second floor of the 2,417 square-foot home, Humphrey said. When crews arrived at the home, all of the occupants had safely exited.

The fire was out by 9 p.m., and the cause was being investigated.
