Deputies asked for help Tuesday in locating a 42-year-old man who was last seen leaving Long Beach Memorial Medical Center on New Year’s Eve.
Jose De Jesus Munoz was wearing a blue shirt, jeans and black Nike slides when he was seen about 4 a.m. leaving the hospital at 2801 Atlantic Ave., near Long Beach Boulevard, said Deputy Abe Bedoyan of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s officials declined to say why Munoz had been at the hospital.
He was described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a goatee and a tattoo on his left leg.
“His family is very concerned for his well-being and are asking for the public’s help,” Bedoyan said, adding that anyone with information can call the sheriff’s department’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500.
