A man trapped in the wreckage of a single-vehicle rollover crash on the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles Thursday evening was freed by firefighters and rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
The crash was reported about 10:50 p.m. near the Sixth Street exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Mercedes-Benz went down an embankment and caught fire, the CHP said.
Firefighters arrived on scene and quickly freed the man and rushed him to a hospital in critical condition with burns and undisclosed injuries, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Details of what led up to the crash were not immediately available.
