A fire damaged a garage Monday that apparently was converted for residential use in Encino, but no one was hurt, authorities said.
Firefighters sent to the 5900 block of North Jellico Avenue at 7:37 a.m. extinguished the fire in the detached garage behind a single-story house in 11 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire was confined to the 20-foot-by-20-foot building, which had “dense storage,” the LAFD reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
