A man who was approximately 30 years old was found dead in some bushes Monday near an off-ramp to the Corona (71) Freeway in Pomona, authorities said.
Paramedics were dispatched at 8:56 a.m. to the location at the northbound freeway near the West Holt Avenue off-ramp, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
A representative from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office was called to the scene at 9:46 a.m.
The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Sigalert at 9:20 a.m. shutting down the off-ramp for two hours. It was canceled at 2:18 p.m. and the off-ramp was reopened, the CHP reported.
