Two women died Saturday in a fatal crash in Lancaster in which speed may have been a factor.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at 1:50 a.m. at Sierra Highway and Avenue I, said a deputy at the Los Angeles County Sheriffs’ Lancaster Station.
The women died when their SUV flipped over and slammed into a pole, KABC7 reported. Their names were withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Two other people were also in the SUV but expected to survive, the station reported. It was unclear who, if anyone, was buckled in.
