Drivers in Pomona who use state Route 71 were readying themselves for a difficult weekend.
A full closure of the roadway is required as part of the conversion of the SR 71 expressway into a freeway.
The closure will run from 8 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday. Road repair work will include:
– – Southbound SR-71 full freeway closure from Mission Boulevard to SR-60.
– – Westbound SR-60 connector to northbound SR-71 will be closed.
The schedule is weather-permitting, and all dates and times are subject to change.
